In the town where I live, there is a beautiful and spacious park called Heisei no Mori Park. Inside the park is Bara no Komichi, a stunning rose tunnel known as the longest rose tunnel in Japan.
The roses here are absolutely beautiful. I visited a little late in the season this time, so most of the roses had already finished blooming. There were still quite a few beautiful ones left, though, and I took some photos to share with you. They were still so lovely!
There is also a small brook flowing through the park. You can enjoy the beautiful sound of the gently flowing water, which feels especially refreshing on a warm day. I love spending time here and simply listening to the water while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
In one of the photos I took, I even caught a beautiful moth resting among the flowers. 🦋
I visit Bara no Komichi every year, especially during the peak blooming season. When the roses are in full bloom, the tunnel is filled with an incredible variety of roses in so many different colors and shapes. It is truly a beautiful sight!
The roses usually begin blooming in spring and are at their best around May, with the blooming season continuing into mid-May.
Bara no Komichi is one of the beautiful places I love to visit here in Kawajima Town, Saitama, Japan. If you are visiting the area during rose season, it is definitely a lovely place to stop by, take a walk, enjoy the flowers, and relax by the sound of the flowing water.
